Maureen "Mau" Garcerant Neme discovered her passion for singing early in life. By eighteen, she was already balancing formal studies in communication with a growing dedication to performance — a combination that would shape her artistic path for years to come. What began on intimate stages evolved into a dynamic career defined by presence, versatility, and the unmistakable power of her voice.
Today, Mau is a multidisciplinary artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina, recognized for her expressive vocal range and commanding stage presence. As a vocalist and bandleader, she has founded and fronted projects including Azuca, performing regularly at some of Charlotte's most recognized venues. Her original music, including "Pretextos para quererte" and "Corazón," is available on major streaming platforms. Her sound moves fluidly across Latin rock, salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, bolero, bossa nova, blues, reggae, and romantic ballads, allowing her to connect authentically with diverse audiences and musical spaces.
Mau's artistry also extends into voice-over, where she brings warmth, clarity, rhythm, and emotional precision to every script. Her voice work is well suited for commercials, branded content, corporate narration, telephony/IVR, digital campaigns, and e-learning, with a style that is both engaging and highly adaptable. Whether she is singing live, narrating for the microphone, or shaping a story in studio, Mau approaches every performance with the same core intention: to make people feel something real.
Beyond music and voice, Mau is the founder of MG Photos Charlotte, where she captures life's defining moments through engagements, family portraits, headshots, and corporate sessions.
